The Aiken #4202 is an EMD GP30 that was originally built for the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe as their #1275, but was mostly recently Burlington Northern Santa Fe. It was retired by the BNSF and sent to Larry's Truck & electric, LTEX 2473, before being sold to Western Carolina Railway Service Corporation for their new railroad, the Aiken Railway. It went to sister railroad the Greenville & Western, for rebuilding and painting.
Western Carolina Railway owns and operates two sections of former Southern Railway track in Aiken, SC, a total of approximately 18 miles of rail.
