Seven L&C end cab switcher locomotives are seen near Richburg Hill in Chester, SC. Richburg Hill is said to be the steepest rail grade in the south east besides Saluda Grade in North Carolina.
To the right of the frame is land that Giti Tire will soon build an elaborate tire manufacturing facility. The railroad has worked for years to sell this land and soon perhaps they will be serving what will be a huge factory near the intersection of SC Highway 9 and Interstate 77.
